Salinity | Second | SI units | Standard reduction potential | Standard state | Steradian | Stoichiometric number

Salinity
Salinity (S) is a parameter used in oceanography to describe the concentration of dissolved salts in seawater. It is defined in terms of electrical conductivity relative to a standard solution of KCl. When expressed in units of parts per thousand, S may be roughly equated to the concentration of dissolved material in grams per kilogram of seawater.

Second
Second, the SI base unit of time, is the duration of 9 192 631 770 periods of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the caesium 133 atom (133Cs).

SI units
The International System of Units adopted in 1960 and recommended for use in all scientific and technical fields.

Standard reduction potential
Standard reduction potential (E°) is the zero-current potential of a cell in which the specified reduction reaction occurs at the right-hand electrode and the left-hand electrode is the standard hydrogen electrode. Also called Standard electrode potential.

Standard state
Standard state is depend from the melting and boiling points of the element. Elements must be in three state: gas, solid, or liquid.

Steradian
Steradian is the solid angle that, having its vertex in the center of a sphere, cuts off an area of the surface of the sphere equal to that of a square with sides of length equal to the radius of the sphere.

Stoichiometric number
Stoichiometric number (n) is the number appearing before the symbol for each compound in the equation for a chemical reaction. By convention, it is negative for reactants and positive for products.
